STEYR KONZEPT LANDS TOP AWARD

Steyr, part of CNH Industrial, has won the prestigious Platinum Award in the 2020 MUSE Design Awards Competition in the concept design category.
Decided by a jury composed of renowned international design professionals and leading industry specialists, the Steyr Konzept succeeded in a field of some 3,000 entrants.
Combining innovative technologies in a unique, sustainable and zero emission package, styling cues were integrated and reinterpreted with a futuristic slant, such as the traditional external white cab structure and the inclusion of an asymmetrical grille.
AEM INVITES NOMINATIONS

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) Hall of Fame is seeking nominations for 2020.
The AEM Hall of Fame recognises pioneers whose inventions, ideas, leadership and courage have contributed to the industry and the community’s quality of life. In 2019, the AEM inducted its first woman leader, Mary Andringa of Vermeer Corporation (above), into its Hall of Fame, and is looking to continue to break new ground in 2020.
THE ENGINEER C2I AWARDS OPENS FOR ENTRIES

The Engineer’s Collaborate to Innovate (C2I) Awards has opened for entries. The publication, a sister title to iVT, has run the awards annually since 2015, as a search for the UK’s most innovative, collaborative engineering projects.

The awards are supported by the UK’s Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, and sponsored by Frazer-Nash Consultancy. Their aim is to uncover and celebrate great examples of engineering collaboration, a dynamic considered critical to solving many of the challenges and problems faced by society.
The competition is open to any project that is truly innovative, represents a collaboration between two or more separate organisations and has had, or is likely to have, a demonstrable impact in its area of application. For more information visit awards.theengineer.co.uk. Closing date for entries is 25 September 2020.
